TradeHive (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides an enterprise registry and verification platform for certified trade contractors, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical specialists.
We respect your privacy and are committed to safeguarding personal, business, and credential data submitted to our platform. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, handle, store, and protect information when you use our website, services, and associated applications.
2. Information We Collect
A. Account & Authentication Information
When you sign up or sign in, we process identity credentials through our authentication provider (Clerk), including your name, verified email address, phone number, and account role.
B. Vendor & Business Profile Details
Contractors submit business profile information necessary to establish their trade registry standing: registered company name, Employer Identification Number (EIN), business address, trade specializations, operating radius, and contractor license identifiers.
C. Verification Documents & Files
To achieve verified status, vendors upload government-issued trade licenses, general liability and worker's compensation insurance certificates, safety credentials, and order fulfillment receipts.
D. System & Audit Logs
We log user actions, IP addresses, browser agent headers, and timestamps for security compliance, fraud prevention, and audit traceability.
3. Google Drive API & OAuth 2.0 User Data Disclosure
TradeHive integrates with Google Drive APIs to store, organize, and safeguard contractor verification documents, certifications, and transaction records.
Key principles regarding our Google Drive integration:
- Restricted Scope: Access to Google Drive is strictly utilized for creating designated organization subfolders and managing authorized documents submitted through the TradeHive application.
- No Access to Private Files: TradeHive never scans, indexes, accesses, or modifies personal files or folders stored outside the platform's designated storage directory.
- No Sale or Advertising: Google user data and Drive files are never sold, transferred to data brokers, or utilized for advertising, marketing, or behavioral targeting.
- Zero Public Exposure of Private Records: Sensitive files (e.g., tax documents, private business certifications, receipts) remain restricted and are accessible only to verified administrators via encrypted server proxies.
TradeHive's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. How We Use and Share Information
We process data solely for legitimate operational purposes:
- Verifying contractor credentials, licenses, and insurance active status.
- Displaying approved public contractor profiles in the TradeHive registry.
- Processing customer inquiries, service dispatch requests, and job matching.
- Preventing unauthorized access, fraudulent activity, and platform abuse.
We do not sell, rent, or lease personal or contractor business data to any third parties. Data is shared only with verified service partners (such as database infrastructure and authentication providers) essential to platform operations under strict confidentiality obligations.
5. Data Security and Retention
TradeHive employs industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS / TLS 1.3) and at rest. Access controls enforce least-privilege security standards, role-based database policies (RLS), and secure server-only token handling.
We retain vendor documentation as long as your account remains active or as required by law for commercial audit, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance. You may request account closure or document removal at any time.
6. Your Rights & Contact Details
You have the right to access, inspect, correct, or request deletion of your personal data and uploaded business files.
